CO

CO (Carbon Monoxide) is a highly toxic, colorless, and odorless gas. This gas is produced by the incomplete combustion of carbon-based fuels, typically found in vehicle exhaust, faulty furnaces, and fires. Expressed in ppm (parts per million), CO is a lethal pollutant because it readily binds to hemoglobin in the blood, displacing oxygen. This leads to poisoning, which can result in fatigue, dizziness, and even death at high concentrations.
